Our Design Competition To Create The Official Scottsdale Sister City Tee-Shirt
For Students 13 to 18 years of age

Here is your chance to show your stuff by designing the front and back of the very tee shirt that will be available to students and adults all over the world as we promote Scottsdale’s Sister Cities.  We really want to create a cool shirt that you would be proud to wear and we would be proud to offer to everyone.  The details are below. 

Theme:  We want to showcase Scottsdale’s Sister Cities in an eye-catching way.  We have provided links to our website and to some other background information on each of our 6 Sister Cities below.  Of course we encourage you to look for other cool, dignified images that portray these great areas in a pleasing and interesting way.  How you do that is completely up to you.  We are excited to see what you come up with.

The Grand Prize:  Ahh now the good stuff.  The person, whose design is judged to be the best, will win $250 in cash that will easily buy a new I pod Touch, or you could use the money toward something else you have been looking for.  We will also immediately turn your design into tee shirts (makes sense doesn’t it) and they along with winning designer will be presented to the community at our Scottsdale Sister Cities Annual Meeting on Monday, March 19, 2012.  The shirts will be available for purchase starting that night, and we will see to it that all our International Club students have access to them as well. Oh and one more thing, the winning designer will receive the first 5 tee shirts off the press.  That way they can show off their design by wearing the shirt themselves and splash them out to 4 of their friends too.  Pretty cool, huh.

Ok Here Are The Particulars:

• Any currently enrolled student ages 13 to 18 years of age may submit one entry.
•  
  All artwork must be submitted electronically in PDF format either through digital media (disc or  jump drive) or most preferably via email at info@scottsdalesistercities.com.
• Again we prefer submissions via email, but if you would like to mail a disc or other digital media with your artwork loaded on it (still on a PDF file) our address is:

• The artwork in the PDF file must be complete in terms of content and placement (as in what artwork goes on the front of the shirt and what goes on the back).
•  
  The submissions  will be judged on what you have produced, and what is in the file.
• The submission deadline is 3:00 p.m. Arizona time on Friday, February 17, 2012.
• The judging will be done the week of February 20, 2012 with the winner notified by phone by  Friday, February 24, 2012 (so please include your phone number along with your name,  your home address, and your email address as well as the school you attend with your entry)
• The winning cool artwork design submitted to the Scottsdale Sister Cities Association for this contest will become the property of the Scottsdale Sister Cities Association. 
•  The winning artwork will be used for our promotional purposes including the sale of Tee Shirts with the artwork displayed on them for our fundraising and promotional purposes.
